This is how conspiracy theories are born.
A technical glitch briefly blackened the screen during “The Daily Show” Tuesday night while host Trevor Noah was speaking with ACLU executive director Anthony Romero about President Donald Trump’s immigration ban.
About 15 minutes into the show, the screen went dark just as Romero was explaining the legality of the recent executive order which bars entry to the United States from seven predominantly Muslim countries. The outage lasted for about a minute, leaving viewers with nothing but a black screen and the Comedy Central logo.

Comedy Central confirmed that the abrupt interruption was a glitch, despite what some conspiracy-minded social media users thought.
