A roughly $430 million jackpot is up for grabs in Wednesday's Powerball drawing.
It would be the tenth-largest jackpot in the game's history, though it won't even be the largest this summer — California resident Jeff Lindsay won just shy of $450 million in June.
The drawing comes after two weeks of lottery one-upsmanship between Powerball and Mega Millions. Each game grew larger as a succession of drawings came up without winners.
That ended Friday, when a ticket in Illinois matched all Mega Millions numbers, making it worth an estimated $393 million, the fifth largest in the game's history.
It was the first week both Powerball and Mega Millions jackpots topped $300 million.
The odds of winning a jackpot are extremely low — one in 292.2 million for Powerball and one in 258.9 million for Mega Millions.
