A 12-year-old ventriloquist amazed audiences on "Americas Got Talent" Tuesday and punched her ticket all the way through to the live rounds.
Darci Lynne Farmer, along with her puppet Petunia the rabbit, knocked the judges off their feet with an infectious laugh and an amazing voice as she belted out the Ella Fitzgerald classic "Summertime."
Farmer so impressed judge Mel B she was given the Golden Buzzer, which automatically propels her to the live shows.
When asked by Simon Cowell why she entered the show, the Oklahoma City native said it was one of her big dreams and she wanted to shine a light on a fading art form.
"I would really like to keep ventriloquism alive," Farmer said. "It's not common you know?"
