Michael K. Williams may be getting a lightsaber and blasting to a galaxy far, far away.
“The Wire” star has been tapped to co-star in Disney’s untitled Han Solo flick, according to Variety. The film will chronicle everyone’s favorite rebel smuggler’s origin story.
Though Williams’ connection to the project is still unclear, he’s joining a star-studded cast: Donald Glover, Emilia Clarke, and Woody Harrelson have all signed on the dotted line to enter the Lucas universe.
This isn’t Williams’ only on-screen appearance on the horizon. After a stint on HBO’s critically acclaimed “The Night Of,” Williams has joined the cast of “When We Rise,” a mini-series now airing on ABC.
The Han Solo spin-off is due for debut on May 25, 2018.
